Chickpeas and Beetroot Salad

 

Ingredients:

  • Chickpeas ½ cup- soak in hot water for ½ hour

  • Beetroots 4 boiled and cut in small squares

  • Raisins ½ cup for garnish, soak in hot water

  • White pepper 1 tsp powdered

  • Sugar 1 tsp

  • Salad oil 1 tbsp

  • White vinegar 1 tbsp

  • Lemons 4

  • Salt to taste

Method:

  • Drain the chickpeas and boil in fresh water. Do not overcook. Drain chickpeas. Combine with all other ingredients and lemon juice and refrigerate. Roast the raisins on a tawa with a little grease and sprinkle on salad before serving.
